M-KIDZ Assessment (Nursery, LKG, UKG)

To promote “Easy Learning Greater Assimilation” culture, students of M-KIDZ will learn while they have fun and their evaluation will also be in a manner that is stress free and focuses more on understanding than on learning by rote.
There will be Four Monday Cycle tests as well as a Mid-Tern and Final-Term examination. The Cycle Tests are conducted in such a manner than learning of previous week is tested on each following Monday. Besides, the “Tiny Ones” will be assessed on their day to day performance covering a image of parameters based on Activities, Projects, Competitions, Regularity, Values, Dress and Personal Hygiene and Parent Cooperation.

CLASSES I to X

Starting 2017 – 2018 academic session, CBSE has abolished the Semester System. Thus Year-End Annual Examinations shall be conducted at the end of the session covering the entire syllabus.
In order to prepare students for the Annual Examinations, the school will conduct three other written examinations as below:
  • Unit Test 1 to be conducted in the month of July comprising the syllabus covered in the first quarter of the session
  • Half-Yearly Examinations to be conducted in the month of September. Syllabus tested shall include the entire syllabus covered in the first two quarters of the session
  • Unit Test 2 to be conducted in the month of December comprising the syllabus covered in the third quarter of the session
Besides the written test, students shall also be assessed on the following:
  • Notebook maintenance for each subject adjudged on regularity of work, timely completion of homework issued to students and the neatness of the notebook
  • Subject Enrichment Activities to be conducted for each subject regularly over the session. These shall include Laboratory work, projects, model making, map work, field trips and related assignments, debates, stage performances etc.
Co-Scholastic Areas will be assessed by the concerned teachers on a 5 point grading scale and will cover areas like life skills, attitudes and values, participation and achievement in activities involving work education, performing arts, art education, health and physical education.
Students will also be graded by the class teacher for discipline on a 5 point grading scale considering the attendance, sincerity, behavior and values.

  • A minimum attendance record of 90% of the total number of working days in each term/unit is compulsory. In the eventuality a student misses classes due to health reasons the school will have the sole discretion in deciding a waiver, if any. But, even on medical grounds absence beyond 20% of working days will not be accepted.
  • There is no provision for reassessing students, who remain absent on the day of the assessment, or those who have failed in one or more subjects. Request for change in assessment dates or timings will not be entertained.
  • Unfair Means: Students found using any unfair means during any of the assessments, will be given awarded Zero in that subject. Parents and the concerned student will be summoned and asked to provide an explanation. A repeat of such action in future will result in the prompt issue of a Transfer Certificate, without notice.
  • The answer scripts of the assessment will be distributed to students after evaluation within 10 days of the date of the exams. Errors in evaluation, such as mistakes in totaling, unmarked answers, etc., must be brought to the notice of the concerned teachers on the same day itself.
  • Requests for the issue of Progress Report before the declaration of results will not be entertained.
  • To be eligible for promotion, a student must secure a passing grade / mark in each subject and in both scholastic and co-scholastic areas in the overall performance of the whole year.
  • In matters of promotion and detention, the decision of the Principal will be final.
